Sunflower Chickens

Well, I know I’m a little late about posting a reply to this change of chat areas but I do have to say that I still have the feeling that I won’t fit in here much either. I, like many of you have Chickens and Ducks plus a couple Horses. I like to use BYC for my thoughts of chickens and what not, also of feeds and what should I do's. So far all I've found is lack of good thoughts and people who have way too many personal opinions. I'm a city Man who lucked out with a wonderful lady who her and I had thoughts of running a ranch and having some live stock of many types. Well today I lease my 30 acres and farm just about everything my 2 hands will let me. I won’t lie and say I'm the best at anything but I do know that once I have my mind set I like to go as far as I can with my thought. I will say that English and spelling is the WORST thing I ever do! So please forgive me on that. I'll look back and forth at each Kansas posts because I know that even though I'm here about my Chickens every now and then I just need to see what’s going on in the world around me. I will say that I’m very much outnumbered her and that the Boys will be boys or Men will be boys comments would be the exact reason why you all wanted another thread anyway. This is way I’m not so sure that this is the place for me.

Renne I want to thank you for the invite that you were looking to start this but I will always be the last one to turn and run from anything that I'm not sure I can handle.

IMO I think this chat was started because the chicken talk would get lost in many pages of other talk and it did get confusing to try and answer or get a question answered when there was so much other talk. I do chat on this thread and the other thread. I think they both are great. Since We can talk chickens feed ect here and whatever else on the other. I think both have a great use. I hope you don't leave because here just talk chickens the other is for mostly anything. I still follow the other thread because I want ducks someday so I read and ask questions and learn but I am not into hunting and the other stuff really. Right now I am having more question dealing with my chickens and feed issues. I hope that everyone can chat on both these threads and be friends and be happy. I can't spell worth a darn either thank God for spell check or I would be in big trouble I don't worry about grammar as much either. I just try and make it as easy to read as possible. I have to remember to breath while I type and all is good. I hope you do add to these threads the people are all fun and we have a great time sharing information or just talk.

So excited! I just ordered Blue Wheaten Amercauna chicks!!!! Will probably have more than what I need, so if anyone interested in expanding their flock, let me know.

Thank how much does it cost. I pay under $13.00 a bag for my game bird feed

Lots of us have other critters that we talk about from time to time......I've got ducks, guineas and a cow herd and a grain farm so I've definately got more than just chickens.

None of us were turning and running from the other thread......just a little tired of some of the stuff we had to wade thru to get to actual chicken talk.

As for lack of good thoughts....have to say I disagree with you there....lots of people who have helped each other out and I"m sure will continue to be there for each other.......that's just my opinion tho.
