Your not the Only one who had to wade through A lot of us had to wade through the feed talk, the auction and swap cooties talk, the buy from me talk back in January the DE talk. Yes I find some useful, but when thirteen people have to keep repeating them selves THAT GETS OLD TOO

Not all of us have or are gonna have the same ways. I like swap meets you don't then don't comment you don't like auction good then don't go, but all so don't tell people about bird cooties and that you don't ever put your bird next to place where a bird came from a auction, keep some birds on a place that has just that.

I could go on and on , but no need. I know I am very opinionated known that all my life, but I also like to have a good time on these forums you Hen's take things too personally when We Boys as you call us joke and have fun get over it life is to short. Now that I have spoke my mind I will leave you too the new All about You thread.

hmmmm...imagine that.......you had to wade thru chicken talk on a chicken forum.

ITS NOT JUST A CHICKEN FORUM !
WHERE AM I WHERE ARE YOU

You know its windy when KANSANS are saying "OMG its windy out there". I came home this afternoon to find that my trash can, which doesn't budge in winds up to 35mph, had been tipped over and trash was all over the yard. Poor chickens couldn't get into the coop to get to the nest box because a large piece of plastic had lodged itself across the doorway to the coop. I had to run around picking up all the trash before I could even come inside and change clothes.

Grrr....kids have sporting events this evening and all day tomorrow. It sure is gonna be fun sitting in the bleachers being sand blasted while we watch. Is it bad to be hoping for game cancellations?

There's a big grass fire to our west....hope nothing starts near our pastures.....most of our cattle are already out there. I'm not even going to the poultry auction tonight.....didn't want to haul chickens in this wind. Guess I'll just feed them another month.

I remember the days of sporting events with the kids in bad weather.....can't say I miss the bad weather part of it!!

I missed an appointment with an old friend to come by and look at our setup here at the house today, and I have to go out to the farm now to see if it's all blown away...

The grow-out chicks are all sitting in a deep hole front of a hay bale in a giant pile of 25 to stay out of the wind. It's pretty sad when that happens IN TOWN.

btw- for those who don't know that swaps can be dangerous to their existing flock and can cause you to lose, every one of your beloved pets, THAT IS PERTINENT INFORMATION.

Just sayin'.

BYC is a chicken forum. 'Where am I, where are you' refers to a way to localize the chicken talk. The random ramblings is more for specific, non-pertinent fowl conversation. There are ways for people to open threads for their own conversations and I would encourage anyone who doesn't like either of the threads the way they were created to form a thread that suits their needs better on their own. Consolidated Kansas is for fowl and farm in the region, and I've been delighted to see folks from other nearby states, as well.

Sunflower Chickens is specifically for regional chicken talk. If anyone wants a thread on another subject, I encourage you to form one. Don't try to modify one that is already moving and perfectly fine as is.

I have not went to a swap I am not planning on bring in any birds that are very old and they will still be away from the flock for a while since they will be babies. I think that this information is really great we do have a lot of new people coming on that do not understand that bringing a sick bird in can cause you to loss your whole flock

Katy praying the fire stays away from your place. I lived in Cheyenne WY and the wind is really bad there all the time so coming back here I don't notice the wind much I did notice the girls are staying as close to the privacy fence today less windy. Babies are safe in the new coop.

I feel very sad and very insulted with what some of the ladies have said. What did I do to you? I have been following the Washingtonians thread (30,000 posts) for the last 8 months. They talk about everything from all types of livestock, wine making, processing of livestock, egg hatching (all types), predator, drunken husbands, passed loved one, sewing, metal work, bad neighbor and their dogs, trees, gardens, recipes, family, useful stuff on ebay and Craigslist and more. Sifting through 3000 post is nothing, get real and try to follow the Washingtonians for a while, see how well they get along, more people, and more topics. I am not sticking around for you girl to bash me now that have said something with an option. If you want me PM me I am Unsubscribe to both Kansas threads.
