Thank you! Very good advice, but now he's out thankfully. Unfortunately I can't tell if he's finished absorbing. He has a pretty big yolk sack attached to him but it could be excess stuff. It's been a good 48 hours at least. To assist him I gently peeled back what I could on the shell, there were no blood veins left or anything too messy. I ran hot water over a sink for some nice humid steam as I worked, then rubbed some coconut oil on the exposed parts. He was out within 2 hours.
Just worried about the yolk sack. I know eventually it will fall off but should I set him in a plastic cup or something with the rest of the egg to let him finish if he still needs to?
