Um .. if I can't hear them I imagine the worst and keep going to check on them. I kind of prefer the ones that make happy sounds when bathing in the pond. I know where they are and what they are up to.
My kitchen window and my office window (one floor above kitchen ) give onto the duck pond, so with the Kahki I can hear them chattering and splashing. When the sound stops I go out to check, that is usually when they have wandered off into a spot I don't want them in. If they are within 'hearing' distance I am confident. That's something that happens to me with newly acquired birds, but for the birds I've had for a long time, I don't tend to worry, my problems seem to happen during the day
Ok, but, in fairness, doesn't that poop make the most beautiful perennials grow? Isn't that better than a handful of glorified weeds from the grocery store?I adore this mucky ducky, but it doesn't change the fact that they gave me nothing but poop for mothers day!
Further proof (as though it were needed) that I'm just seen as their servant! View attachment 3436670
