Who are you calling grandma??
I'll have you know I only have one generation of ducks!
I admit I didn't want the grandma part but I didn't find any better ones. The others were way to fake to be funny

I felt the grandma jab very fair. Mothers are far less indulgent with their babies than we are.I admit I didn't want the grandma part but I didn't find any better ones. The others were way to fake to be funny
Your babies are under lockdown for the flu? We don't have that. I am pretty far from a city anyway, and mine are under a weather related lockdown .I'm counting my blessings!
My girls are well behaved in... some areas.
I can leave the pen door wide open while "mucking out" their pen. Although, they do get in the way lol. They stay inside, or stand at the door and watch me. I have to step over them to get back in
If by chance they go to step out, I can simply call them back in or give them a nudge back inside.
So well behaved! (In only this scenario).
I'd love to let them out to go in the garden, but it's illegal right now.
I did this with mineHey so since we're all slaves to our ducks here, I was wondering. Have any of you tried making a duck coop with a separate "wet room"? I just did that sort of thing with the brooder for my growing ducklings, and it's been a hit. Less cleaning in the main area, easy access to the wet room etc.
I'll be building a new improved coop for the gremlins, so I'm still designing.
Any idea if that'd make sense long term?
Here's a picture of the brooder for reference:

Yes! The entrance area of the duck's non-winter home has a lower floor, and drains to the outside, the bedding is beyond that and stays much dryer and cleaner. it saves me having to change that bedding so much.Hey so since we're all slaves to our ducks here, I was wondering.
