Did you ever get any baby bird food earlier for tube feeding? I think that may be easier to feed. Most Walmarts and pet-stores carry it. I think people use food precessors or even blenders to grind up chicken feed. But a lot of water should be added, and the closer to the time of feeding that you add the water, the better. Mushy chicken feed will thicken as it sits, and more water should be added. So, I would not add water if you grind up some feed, until you are going to tube it.
I have only used the yogurt and raw egg in small tubes, not the foods used for long term. A larger bore feeding tube would be better for feeding thickened feed. Those are found online. @casportpony has a few threads with lots of info.
