Yes I have the good life. DH is spoiling me tonight taking on the teenagers.

Ah. Turkey talk. Ralphie I tell you what. I had a nice sandwich with Cajun turkey a couple weeks ago.

Ah! I can't wait until we get the wood stove installed. Tonight would be an excellent night to have a fire crackling away in here!

When does your stove arrive klop? Are you planning on saving your wood ashes for winter dusting pits?

Speaking of blackhead. Blackie is all beat up tonight. His head looks like he took a few good punches. I am thinking Ed of King George had their way with him today.

Speaking of Ed. He is almost done with the molt, He is so beautiful again! He looked pretty scruffy, but now he is himself again. The color is amazing on him. It appears he has a few feathers to finish growing out on his breast.

He looks like a head rooster that I want to breed should look again.

My BLRW is getting her new feathers in too. She was bleached all fall and now? Her color is much darker than I remember. They are lovely after their fall molt.

Wasn't King Geordie at fault here a day ago or so?

We are planning to put one in when we build our new house next year. no place for one i this house also no point with us planning to build.

not to mention propane is suuuuuper cheap this year

The gas fireplace is nice. No muss no fuss. But I was raised with wood heat and I LOVE a housed warmed with wood. There's a very nice cozy difference to it.

I just had to run down to the basement for an emergency cable fix. Turns out those rascally kittens were having a hay day batting at a dangling cable down there and dislodged the cable that comes in from the antenna and goes to the converter from its crimp on end. what a bunch of little goofy fuzz balls!

Well i wrote a saga but with these fat fingers i hit the wrong key, and there it was... Gone. Ugh. I will just share a few photos of our homestead.
