Surviving Minnesota!

When babies, the SS would hop up on me...notice Annie keeping a close eye on them. To this day the SS prefer to hang out with their Turkey moms vs.the chicken hens.

My chicken hens were mean girls to the SS babies. But my turkey hens stepped up & adopted them. Annie was always right with them. I think they exhausted her!! Must have been like running after toddlers all day.

You have cremeni? Are they nice also what's your range of breeds do you ducks eat dandelions like mine did?
Svarthonas, and yes. I quite liked them. Very well shaped faces, & sweet too... just not too cold hardy. I lost the rooster last December after two weeks of below 0F. I've had 20+ breeds of chickens at one time or another, more if you count mixes and varieties, but right now I am down to Partridge Chanteclers, White Leghorns, OEGBs, some mutts, wellie OE, Dominique, Silkies, and Silver Ameraucanas. For ducks, I have Welsh Harlequins, Swedish, Silver Appleyard, Snowy Call, 3 varieties of Ancona, and a Cayuga.

The ducks eat everything... I haven't noticed specifically but they probably do.
