Surviving Minnesota!

It's hard to say how much it has snowed since yesterday morning when it started, it has compacted because it's very wet. Looks like 5 or 6 inches at this point. South of us had ice I saw that on news last night with kids ice skating in the streets.

We now have snowater here and it is exceedingly heavy to shovel. It is still raining at this point. It will be a real mess when the temp goes down. I believe it will be possible then to walk right on top of the icewater.

Ralphie, gout comes and goes but when it comes it is a b_stard! I have had it in both feet at the same time and it does hamper mobility. I was prescribed something for pain relief, but I don't take it. I am more willing to deal with the pain than the pills.

the chickens are beginning to forget what free range is.

We have not had snow here.

Ice yesterday morning, then rain most the night, which has turned everything into ice. I need to put on crampons to take a step outside.

Snow is suppose to start this afternoon.

The lakes have a foot of water over the ice..

I think fishing is out for this year. Unless we get 3 weeks of 20 below weather.

Anyone know where the rain ended and snow started. I figured out all by myself it’s between Erlibrd and myself.
