I have nothing to say this morning, I am just typing so a certain fellow who is still stuck in winter weather does not accuse me of being a "neer do well" lounging around in bed. I am headed to Menards in minutes. I need a couple things then it is out to the shed for another days work. I need to set eggs today. So I can have day olds on the 14th.

I will be setting Creamettes, ( they will not hatch in time as they are a 22-23 day chicken..... EE and 2 whole PC eggs. They have finally started laying again. The SS have stopped, but they are just being pissy. ( can I say that?) I have been letting them out everyday for a couple weeks in the afternoon. Now they pace the edge of their breeder pen squawking at me to let them out. They are refusing to lay any eggs, in the nest anyways. I heard one do the egg song the other day from under the granary! This cannot be allowed as you must be much smaller than I to get under there and check.

So back to eggs to set today

I still need to wash and disinfect last nights eggs. SO I may not get as much done as I want. I am going to also check and see if I can get all the eggs I have in the two incubators into one for an hour or so,. I need to disinfect them both after the egg explosion and the hatching incident...I need to go to a meeting all day tomorrow so WWD will be selling the chicks, I should put a paddle lock on the doms and buckeyes so they do not go by mistake. I got some BRIGHT colored fingernail polish to put on the heads of the birds she is selling so I can color code the orders for her. I know she will mess this up on purpose just to screw with me!

Also, I am not sure when, but the Wicked Witch of the south is coming to stay with us for a few days, the WWD actually invited her, I heard her do it! Why do that?

Ok off to Menards back soon for coffee.

Zeus update! He is doing great!! No scab and all his feathers are coming back in. He isnt ready to go back though. I brought him to the coop and Mr. T and Bubba starting beating him. I think he will stay out in the hay shed till the day he dies. He freeranges all day around the cows.

Glad he is getting better. I am learning that 3 roosters just don't work. 2 can work. It seems when you have 3, one gets ganged up on. I had this happen twice already this spring. One rooster ended up soup. the other is from my grow out pen, and they grew up too quick. I now have one CL rooster living on the hay, also.

10 chicks hatched yesterday, one this morning. I have 7 eggs left. Hoping they are just slow pokes. I did end up taking the chicks that hatched yesterday out and put them in the brooder, so just the new guy is left.

I got a report of 11 chicks from 12 shipped eggs . Auto sexing EE went all the way to Ca . Got to love results like that . 50% is the lowest report so far . I think those were CL .

So I was laying in bed, thinking of what I can do yo improve my times in track. And I remembered why my 100m hurdle Time was off.

But this girl messed me up in the 100 hurdles.
So I set up my blocks, and was going to do a "test" run to make sure that they were right. When you come out of blocks you don't look up right away, so I came out of blocks, and this girl walked right in front of me!!!!!!!

I didn't see her since my head was down, and I ran into her!!!! She didn't even say sorry!
So when we got into blocks for the real thing I was really shook up

I only have two roosters and three 1½ month old roo's. My turkey and rooster corner him and just beat the heck out of him!
