Surviving Minnesota!

He is an unnamed son of Ethel and JJ.

He is one I had kind of planned to send to freezer camp but now I am not sure. I need to run the color calculator with my hens and see what I can het by mating him. I love the color calculator. It is the most useful fun tool I have ever seen on genetics.

I have sent him a couple more shots of a couple more turkeys. I think they are also ones he does not have. Also offspring of JJ and Ethel. JJ and Ethel have weird genetics and can have close to 50 different color kids.

Good morning all! We are off to DWs grandmas 90th birthday today. She is a fun lady and likes to joke that she will come out to the farm and help butcher chickens. Apparently her job in her youth was the head removal on their farm.

I set a new round of mouse traps last night and got 3! Take a look at this thing, not sure what it is. The fur is like velvet and the tail is stumpy. Thoughts?

Is it about mouse size?  Can you give us a straight on head shot?
Yes it was the same size as the mice. Maybe 4" long in the body.

I've already disposed of it and left home for the party/church so that's all I've got. The eyes were beady. The trap bar snapped him square in the head so I can't really tell you head shape except that it isn't super pointy
