Surviving Minnesota!

I just moved my eggs from the GQF,

I am afraid I praised it too early EJB. This is my worst hatch but, I blame in on other things, here are the numbers:

8 SS eggs in, one thrown out..

5 PC eggs in, 5 PC eggs out.
4 EE eggs in 4 out,,
The above are Ed's babies, I am thinking he did not do his job the first few days in the pen. Maybe the stress of being locked up from a free ranging life.

26 CLB eggs in 10 thrown out, 1 quitter and the rest non-starters.
I did put the turkey hens in with the CLBs during the time I collected these eggs, but makes no sense.
I have never done this badly before.

Maybe as spring advanced two roosters with 7 hens was too much and cost me some fertility. I now have 4 with one rooster and 3 with the other.

And of course no toad eggs developed.

I did check a few of Ed's eggs due on the 20th and they are doing ok. So whatever it was appears to be over.
whatever happened this will be my smallest hatch of the year, only 23 eggs into the hatcher.

Cool!! You coming down here to shoot my Wild Turkeys then?  They hang out at the back of my Property and no longer come into the yard, since I got JJ and Ethel..

Lol its in DL its an Auction, Silent auction, raffle and dinner. AND they have a bar

None of my family drinks (anymore! Well my parents never did because both sides of my family have horrible addiction issues!) so we all have something similar.
