I found this in the incubator . No skull . Legbar mix . I doubt it will make it exposed like that . Not vaulted . Rare but sometimes happens in crested breeds .
And it's still alive?! Poor thing. Can you see it's brain? Will feathers grow over it, it will probably die just from the usual pecking even if they don't peck because it doesn't have feathers.

I buy the sugar packets at the grocery store. It's a sugar subsitute as the others said. But natural. trying to keep the drink healthy. Heh, Heh, Heh.
I don't think I said how big my shot was....Just sayin'....

I should grow some Stevia.... I think MinnesotaNice is Preggers, Ivie. That's why she's craving a refreshing drink...LOL.

I'll tell ya what, save the Stevia....just give me straight Malibu

I'm easy to please.

Kidding, kidding. Sorta.

Oh thats right! i would make you a good hot mint drink first and then raspberry and then pour them over ice and you would feel wonderful. All in a fancy glass to make you feel special because you are special! How many little ones do you have? When is this one due to make its appearance?

We have a 10 year old boy, so this little one is our second. There's a bit of a, ummmm, gap between them. Lol! I'm due in August.

I've discovered having children when you're a bit older is not easiest task. To be honest, I'm glad I have all of my daily chicken and duck chores because I'm always moving and doing things. I like to think that helps.

I want a fancy glass with raspberry stuff in it. I'm moving in with you.

If she gives out drinks in fancy glasses I am moving in too. I will be lying in my hammock on the river bank with my fishing rod, ringing my little bell for drink service all day long!

Hi all. Lurker here, but I know some of you from another thread. I have 19 8 week old chicks that I have spent a lot of time with and handle a lot. They are quite comfortable with me. Its actually becoming a bit of a problem because they get under foot during chores and whenever I sit down they run to me and jump up on me to roost. I wanted to "shoo" them into the coop early last night but they aren't the least bit afraid of me so they just stand there and look at me. Also, by end of summer I will have 30 chickens. What the heck am I going to do with 30 chickens? I'll have to build a covered run because the coop just isn't big enough. (20x16)

Ideas of what to do with 30 chickens...

Dumplings
fried
broasted
grilled
soup..
hot dishes..

Plus the predators will help trim the number from 30 I am sure....

Good luck!

Feed them a treat in the coop and they will fight to get in the door.

If all chickens live through the summer I'll have 36. If some are boys, they are food. Not ONE chick looks like a possible boy. Three hens are out of their prime laying years so come fall they are soup. Last year we lost 2 to predation (and we free range out in the middle of no where) and the two years before that we lost 0. I realize that it won't take much to lose bunch to predation and I figure it will happen...but yeah. I guess butchering.

I have given up on breaking the PC that is setting on an empty nest. She will not stop sitting!

I have moved her to the TV, the cage I put chicks into for chicken TV time in the shed. I put a cardboard box under the platform and put 14 guinea eggs in it.

She will either raise the replacement guineas for me or break her broodiness, either way I win!

I hate to use a PC for such a menial task, but she gave me no choice. I do not care if she hatches them or refuses to take them at this point. I am just glad I took her out of the breeding pen so the other one gets back to laying eggs. One PC egg a day is better than none like I have been getting.
