Surviving Minnesota!

My best Buckeye decided to go broody... I am blaming this on you Ralphie.

The CX babies showed up a day early, yesterday. They shipped 81, I ordered 80 and one died before arrival. So I ended up with 80. Worked out great. So I put them in with the 12, 2 week old babies and they are all getting a long just great! I wasn't sure how it would go but as you can see in the photos below they snuggle right in with the Doms and follow the Toads around. I included a picture of the EE from Holms that hatched from a deep olive egg. I think"she" is feathering out like her mom if I remember correctly. I am going with she as she is getting her shoulder feathers right along with the others I deemed girls. Pretty sure I have 1 male and 2 female Toads. Hopefully they figure out the whole breeding process and start laying on time so I can hatch out more before winter.

Momofmany Theyre looking good! The pic above is of its momma at the same age. Should be pretty :) Being it is Buckeye influenced it should be pretty easy to tell by the legs. Those Buckeye cockerels have tree trunks for legs :)

Morning . Can't make up my mind if I want to go to the sale barn today . Usually a big one on Good Friday . Not really prepared to sell . Been busy and lost track of time . Really should reduce numbers before my trips .
