Surviving Minnesota!

There is a large waterfowl breeder in southern mn that one of my poultry friends keeps recommending to me, but I can't remember his name. :hmm I know he has aylesbury, Saxony, Rouen, Pomeranian, embden, etc . Anybody know? I can always just ask my friend again...

BTW, did anybody go to new ulm this past weekend?

Man that wind was brutal today!

What is the statute of limitations on mouse murder in Minnesota? I think it's been more than 10 years :plbb
Last fall I was a mouse killing machine. I lost count, they were in my run, then they worked their way into the walls of my henhouse, throwing out insulation in pieces. We can't have that, the chickens will eat that foam insulation. So I trapped most of them, threw a nest of babies in the freezer, as it just puts them to sleep, then dead. ( I had heard this is how breeders euthanize deformed/malformed puppies, so that it is painless). The last mouse was up in the walls and I could't get him out. I put a packet of desiccant in there and plugged up the holes... I got this idea as my dh found some mummified mice that had gotten into his desiccant in his shop drawers in the garage. Soooooo Erlibrd, if you are going to be put away over one mouse, I'll be there awhile...

Don't really like to kill anything that isn't causing harm or a ruckus in the barn, but Opossums are a different story, open season or not EPM is bad stuff.

Still have 2 too many Lavender Orp rooster if anyone is interested, going to keep 1, the dachshund is afraid of them. They were born in April.

Take care,
Warren
