Almost 2 1/2 inches of rain last night but we also had hail, fairly small but it did some damage to the garden. Power is out.

Rain in the area missed us yesterday . Just enough to wet the pavement . Severe storm watch now . Looks like we will get it .

Morning all, heading fishing for a few hours.

I am a tad worried about me chickens today. The WW is sounding pretty serious about removing rooster heads from my flock.

Considering I have way more roosters than hens, this could be devastating. I just happen to make more pets out of roosters.

I was preparing onion tops for dehydration last evening and the birds were on the deck helping me. The WW was not being careful, like she should have, and stepped in a small rooster poop.

I think this unhinged her for some reason. But let’s be honest she was the one that came out barefoot and wasn’t watching where she stepped. No chicken did anything wrong.

Morning . Got rain last night .3 they say . Added a brood box to the beehive . Grass was turning brown so this rain may turn it green again . Picked a zucchini . Only 1 plant the rest are mixed summer squash .

We got another 1-2 inches here yesterday. I wish I could share it with you all in the dry areas!

As miserable as the weather is now, we are headed to more normal times.
