Well Rats! We just need to get Scotty to beam us around the country and all this would be so much easier.
Does anyone have suggestions on where to get SFH chicks? I have a rooster and one hen, we had a second hen but she died suddently? I'm guessing she a weasel got her, but not sure. Everyone else is doing great. I am however having a hard time finding some more chicks. We are in southern Iowa and I have had horrible luck with shipped eggs so I want to get live chicks. Thanks!

Haha yeah we are feeling that way right now. I don't want any chicks until March maybe April when its warmer. Its way to cold for shipping right now.I recently heard Iowa called "Arctic Iowa". It probably is a good time to plan on getting chicks, but not a good time for you to get them. I am still shipping chicks, but only south and east at this time. We are almost done with winter. Not too much longer!![]()
There will be PLENTY of chicks in about 8 weeks!
