Oh, these are 10 weeks old Saturday.

The crested ones can be very sneaky, but at 10 weeks, if you don't see the wattles coming in yet, it is probably a pullet. I can't guarantee it, though. How's that for some help?

That SFH roo I purchased from you at Gilmanor is 19 weeks old today. While I was working in the garden, I looked over and saw this roo mounting/attempting to mount one of my one year old red star hens. When he got off of her, she squawked and chased him like someone threw cold water on her. It was the funniest thing. I practically rolled over laughing. Looks like I will have to start checking fertility soon.

re: minihorse927's birds...

at 10 weeks, #4 is also definitely a roo... my pullets didn't have ANY wattles until nearly point of lay. the pics on #5 are a bit dark, but leaning toward pullet unless better pics come up showing wattles developing.
