Swedish Flower Hen Thread

Almost the same amount. 3 trays, 1 hatcher. Upgraded to digital with the acrylic door. I don't plan to hatch in it but for $20 more I thought it worth it, especially for resale value in the future. The cabinets keep their equity much more than the 1588s and will be easier to clean. I really like the fact that when you call them you are speaking directly with him, not some phone system.

if your hen is a mille fleur (black based) with a splash roo you'll get blue 'gingers' aka blue mille fleur right away.

"Right away" being in 1 month plus when I can figure out where she is laying or who (?farm dog...??) is eating her eggs :(
Yes I know I should have had pure eggs this week, no issue to ID them, but one of those colored egg laying mutt EE pullets
morphed overnight into a Rooster :( spotted him the day after I moved everyone, still never has crowed but I saw him mess up my egg setting plans the next am & of course he picked a sfh as a girlfriend so now I wait a month...

& my hatcher had a temp spike, so the ever so carefully trap nested sfh eggs that were in LD, Day 23 pretty sure they got cooked.

not my week for sfh apparently.

I am glad to see several ppl are having good hatch rates! That really is good news for everyone.

Welcome to the new folks , I look forward to more pics. as your birds blossom :)

I might suggest you get the dickeys and set it up and make sure it stabilizes for a couple days before putting eggs in...

It was in stock and shipping today so hopefully I'll get it on Friday and be able to stabilize it over the weekend.
Your 4 are fabulous BTW

I have to say thanks to YOU too, for being so great to work with on shipping my first birds. as you know, I worried about EVERYTHING. LOL

I'm on pause due to needing to replace my roo but had a waiting list at $10 each. I think I may need to raise that!
