I have a year old frizzled silkie that started off with a slightly swollen eye. I began treating it by cleaning, and administering ointment. Separated and placed her in a warm quiet environment, since then she has not managed to get better and in fact the eye has only gotten worse. I've done injections of tylan50 for 5 days without much improvement and I'm at a loss as to where to go next.

As far as symptoms, the only issue is her eye. There are no bubbles in her other eye, no swelling of the nose or any where else. No coughing, sneezing, discharge. She eats, drinks, poops all regularly and is laying though it has slowed some. I'm really at a loss, I'm hopeful it's not Corzya due to the fact she has no other aliments and no smell. Here is a picture as of today, as I've said I've been treating with antibiotics and cleaning daily.

I would guess the eye may be gone or blinded if that has been there awhile. You may need to take several sessions with Qtips and tweezers while someone holds the chicken wrapped in a towel, to get the solid mass of pus out of it. Tylan injectable can be given orally, 1/4 ml per pound 3 times a day for 5 days. That would help if it was MG (mycoplasma) but a sulfa antibiotic might be better if it is E.coli infection. A vet might be best for antibiotics and treatment. Here is another thread about a chicken with a foxtail in the eye:

Poor girl, that must have been going on for some time already.

@Eggcessive just gave some good advice the other day: https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...y-eating-and-swallowing.1509931/post-25361287

And here is a video posted by @azygous on how to get the pus out prior to flushing and administering eye drops:

The Tylan will not get the already accumulated pus out, this has to be done manually.

In case you feel unable to do this yourself, is a vet an option?

I've tried, I've gotten some out but not much. I honestly think she may have gotten a bad wound to the eye but I dunno. I'm really hoping for some help.
As soon as one of our experts that I’ve tagged, pick this up, they will reply and advise you, you will be in the best hands, I hope that is a comfort to you :)
