What she said! I would support my husband if that was his choice. She is your wife and loves you. I have tattoos as does my husband. I would never think to tell him no he cant get something and the same goes for him with me. He has some flash that I dont like but I would never tell him to get them covered, its not my body. I would assume that you dont tell her what to wear or how to do her hair or makeup so its pretty much the same. I hope it all works out.

I hate to be Debbie Downer here, but I have a neighbor, who got one too many tattoos. He, now, spends his life on expensive, heavy duty drugs, to keep his liver from shutting down, due to hepatitis.
What price, the pretty picture?

If you go to a good artist who is accredited and licensed and all that getting hepatitis is not going to happen. I know I spent 4 years resarching the art of tattoos, how it is aplied, what can go wrong, what to expect etc. I resarched what I wanted. A phoenix on my back by the way. And I spent several weekends going to studios and looking at portfolios and getting a feel for the artists before I got my tattoo. The reason it took me four years was because my DH was not comfortable with my getting a tatt. He thought they were ugly unatractive and kinda skanky. Eventually he realized that it was something that meant a lot to me. He doesn't really like my tattoo, he doesn't really dislike it either. If he had his choice I would not have one. But I did not get it done without his permision because we try to respect each other's views. Now if I could just save up the money to finish it. He got laid off for 5 months before it was done. Boyd, talk to your wife about why you want it nad then let her think about it and not push. It may take a while but she will probably realize why you want it and be okay with it. And then post a pic b/c we want to see!!
