Really neat thread!! I loved reading these.

Let's see...

I used to think chickens were disgusting... hehe. Look at me now with 24 of the lovely boogers who I kiss and love on daily.

My husband, who is 31 and who I've been married to for 10 years, was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease) one year ago November.

I have a phobia of being startled (anyone know the name?). I freak out if I'm near balloons thinking they will pop. I also despise clowns and masks.

I am a middle child who hates confrontation. I'm also a Gemini and have 10+ projects going at any given time.

I went to college three different times - three different majors and never finished any of them.

I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up... I have changed jobs seven times in 10 years at the hospital I work for.

I'm going to come back and read all these after dinner. Here are mine for now:
~As a child I was pathologically shy.
~I have never been to Disney World.
~I am a chicken thief.

What? You never heard of Speckled Hen's House of Weird? Yep, it was weird for me, too. I'll never forget the night my DH woke me up and asked if I knew a Mark David Chapman. We NEVER used his middle name, but of course, all killers suddenly have three names, right? Then DH told me what Mark did and I couldn't believe it. The last time I saw Mark, he called me across the mall parking lot and talked a few minutes, told me he was going to Hawaii.

OK... here's mine.

I'm 49 (50 in 2 weeks) and have been married 22 years. My DH finished his MBA in May at 57 years old and has been unemployed for a full year.

I have 15 Siberian Huskies and race competitive sled dog teams in speed races. We have a few show dogs and once had a National Specialty winning champion. There are currently 3 Siberians we have bred that have points towards their championship (one only needs 3 single points). DH and I have put 7 obedience titles on our dogs in both the U.S. and Canada. I own a dog boarding kennel and take the winters off for the sled dog racing season. DH and I have bred a dog that we sent to some friends in Alaska when he was 12 weeks old and he is preparing to run in his second Iditarod! We also work with 2 animal agencies and our dogs have been in commercials, ads, promotional events and catalogs (Saks 5th Ave. TWICE!!!).

We have 9.5 acres and enjoy sheep and goats, in addition to our chickens. I have one goat that I milk and I love to make cheeses, ice cream, custards, yogurts... When we got sheep we couldn't find a vet who would take care of sheep so I took a course from Pipestone Institute and have 1 credit in Sheep Management.

We haven't had TV in over 10 years and don't miss it one bit. We both have library cards and use them! We try to live green and, although we don't live off the grid, we try to live on the edge! We recycle anything we can, use environmentally friendly products, eat as much organic food as possible and this year will be my first attempt at growing a vegetable garden!

WOW Sunny, i have a customer who also raises siberians and runs the sleds and her dogs compete in dog shows and all the same stuff. Its not everyday to meet people who do all that, nevermind all the other stuff. This lady is a Vet and owns her own clinic. Her oldest son is very involved too, he is about 11. I know from them, that its alot of work and commitment.....you must have alot of energy!!!!
