Tennessee

Thats why we need a travel thread for those that just need that one bird but it's too far to travel to get it. I ran into that lot this summer. I missed out on so many opportunities because they where all too far away. Most of what I found was in Middle or East Tennessee.

I posted this in a thread of it's own but i'm gonna put it here too since the location is in Tennessee. Blount County to be exact. There are many horses that are desperatly in need of adoption. The husband died and the wife just let them free range and breed as will and they are in need of medical attention and just some cases a loving home. There are many that have been spoken for already but they all need to go to better homes. Several of these horses are injured, partially blind, lame and over bred. I'm hoping to get the word out to those that can help by adopting at least one horse or a mother and her colt and get them the needed medical attention they deserve. Here is the site that was posted elsewhere that i'm a member of. They are trying to help too.

I don't have horses, space for horses, or knowledge of horses... but I will spread the word to those I know who possibly could help. I'm not far at all from Blount County... half hours drive, so the people I know would be pressed for excuses not to help.

I hope they all find good homes.

I will send to a person I know who has the space and set up, but isn't sure if she can handle a horse. Maybe a 'retired' needy horse would be perfect for her.

Thank you to those that pass the info on the horses along and that help in anyway. I wish I could but all I can do is pass this around in hopes of somebody getting it that can help.

There are so many people that are members here i'm sure there will be some that can help.

i have two BEAUTIFUL EE roos that i'd love to sell. if i don't sell them they are headed to the freezer. they are 7 months and definitely in the mood for love.

they are well behaved and have been well schooled by my older roos. non-aggressive, attentive and watchful of the girls.

i'm in Maryville.

this is my EE roo, Percy, who is the father of the two i'd like to sell.

this is from July, when the cockerels were 2-3 months old. the black and white one in the front (with the muffs) is one of the ones you could buy as well as the white one in the back that now looks identical to Percy. the white one doesn't really have muffs or a beard but he has beautiful dark legs.

if you are interested, i'll get better, updated pictures of the two boys tomorrow.

eta: on closer inspection today, both of the boys have muffs. the black and white one has pretty decent sized muffs, the white one has small muffs and a bit of a beard.

Yeah, I'd love to see an updated photo of the 2 roosters. All my hens are dark in color except one and I think some variety would be great in the next set of chicks. If I like one of them we can discuss price, I didn't want to spend alot on one.
