I love that comb!
Anyone know of any Orpington breeders near San Antonio?
Melissa Rose has lavenders and buffs. She's on BYC and has some great birds
I'll tell Mike you said so I didn't want them jumping up on the feeder and scratching it all out and defecating in it and I was hoping to have some sort of protection from the rain. We got some pretty good rain last night, and nary a drop in the feeder - and, the gals can't crawl up onto it....well, they get on it - but, they're on the lid, not the food.

As for Roos..
One of the things I breed for are nice personalities in the roosters. I always handle my birds.. even the boys. And some of the nicest birds I have had were roosters that were handled a lot. If I get a nasty roo.. he goes to freezer camp. No exceptions
We're caponizing birds this weekend if the weather holds out. Plus I have a several people who will be stopping by to learn how it's done. Gonna be a full house so I don't know how much I will be on.
oh.. one thing I need to mention about the Brinsea brooders.. be sure to check the wiring.. especially where it goes into the unit. i had a bad one from Brinsea that had exposed wires (fire and shock hazard)
I still have to post pics of the latest babies.. hopefully I get a chance tomorrow.. lol.. this is the first chance I've had to sit down all day!
I also heard back from the breeder where we will be getting our newest LGD.. she said the pups are three weeks old and we're getting pick of the litter since we have been on her waiting list the longest .. so in a few weeks we'll have a new addition to the family!
Yin- did you have any frizzled hatched? Mate a roo? Maybe a roo that needs to come live on my farm?
