Thats alot of birds to see!
Is the judging on Saturday Morning, Oct 9th? We are planning on driving in on Friday, will all the birds be there on Friday? or would it be best to wait until after the judging to see them?

I just love looking at all the different kinds of chickens. I think it is amazing. I live in the city w/ a tiny backyard so the closest I get to ALOT of chickens is at the shows.

Tim, any info you have on the fair would be great to see!

and TK -- you should try to make the State Fair - Central Texas is close to Dallas, sorta...

A lot of the birds will not arrive until Saturday morning. Some people will coop in on Friday. Birds won't be released until Sunday afternoon. The Fair has a website, you could google State Fair of Texas. It has all the info you could possibly want. And yes, the Judging is Saturday morning. They just judge an Isle at a time, so theres no problem viewing birds.

Those little chickens look like they are going to be really happy there.
You have a terrific set up.
Congrats!

Some of the best spent money you ever put out!!!! I have friends that spend their 'little bit of reserve $s' on braces, body alterations, new furniture, new cars.....all depends on what you feel is important........don't you feel a bit guilty on spending money on an adventure that gives so much back!!! Chickens will change your life............just you wait and see !!!!!!

Oh, I went hay crazy didn't I? Well it was free...plus since there gonna be locked up in there for a few days I figured it might as well be as fluffy as possible....I wish I knew how old they were....The lady said I should expect the little white one to be laying by January

I was doing a Google Search for a Poultry Vet and I ran across a site called "XXXXXXXXXXX" It seemed like a great site with tons of information and lots of activity but it has not been active for a while. I did find a recommendation for a Vet in San Antonio - I hope she is still practicing!

Does anyone know what happend to the site? maybe it moved or something? I find it hard to believe that a site that seems so comprehensive and well-done would just go away!

Thanks
Kim
