Texas

Sorry the allergies are getting to you so bad this year. My DH suffers from allergies, and they are really giving him a time this year too.

Welcome to BYC!

Of course he wants what we have! We didn't build/make it by ourselves, someone else did it for us!!

I plan on watching the blood moon. Maybe.... :)

I saw that on the news this morning David. So glad everything is fine at your place!

My EE's aren't the friendliest of the bunch. I can get my hands on all 3 of them, but the dove/blue colored one screams bloody blue blazes when I get her.
Can you tell this newb what EE stands for :) sorry I am not up with the chicken lingo yet.

Wow...just checked the weather map again. My county is in the middle of the dry zone but storms all around...looks like a big beast about to swallow us up. Headed down to put everybody in the coop and check on little ones while I still can.

Well I thought you mite have been riding a motorcycle. I wish I still had mine. I lost it when I was in the hospital for 9 months with my pancreas. Here is a pic of it.

Nice bike Harley. We have had a few over the years. Had to sell our last one after husband's stroke after heart surgery. He would not have been able to hold it up. So we sold it before he tried. We got a Stallion in Feb. Sort of a trike made with a Ford drive train. I can drive it because it drives like a car. Husband still wants a bike, but he will have to settle for a trike while I'm alive.

Hello! I am from Tennessee, and I have a question...

We are considering moving to your state soon, and would love to know what to do for chickens in such an event. I worry after hearing about your drought, and we also have a pair of dogs and horses coming with us and our seven chickens...

Can anyone offer some advice or experience? :)

Texas is a big state. Any idea which area of the state you are moving to. Chickens do fine here in central Texas. I am about 30 minutes North of Austin.

Harley...nice bike, sorry you had to give it up. My DH has a Honda CB750 in an Amen Savior frame. The frame was originally designed to take a Harley engine but a Honda works great. It's emerald green. We rebuilt this bike from the ground up five years ago and it's been under a tarp ever since. He only rode it a couple of times after because we couldn't afford the insurance at the time. Still would love to get it back road worthy again, but meanwhile it isn't going anyplace. It's kinda like a one man horse, afraid it would kill anybody else that tried to ride it. It is a banshee and scary fast!

Same with my gang.  Should have handled them and played with them more early on.  They are fearful and want nothing to do with us.  Makes it hard to catch them to put in their play pen.  So afraid they will hurt themselves trying to avoid the big bad hand. LOL

I got these birds 2 weeks ago when they was 6 weeks old and they are still not friendly

Harley I am sorry you don't have your bike anymore. Will you get another one or are your riding days over? You mentioned something about your pancreas. Did you have pancreatitis? Ken has a 2004 Kawasaki. He use to collect the BSA and Triumphs. He also had an Italian racing bike, Ducati-a beautiful red bike. Boy could it round the curves! I would love to have a trike. I think with my 'gracefulness', I would land a regular motorcycle down on the ground!

My crazy chicks are running from the coop out into the rain and back into the coop. I believe they are having fun! I put a heat lamp up in the coop. Am I being too overprotective??

Lisa :)
