Texas

Some people use golf balls and even the plastic Easter eggs. Can u make the mud room non accessible? If the nesting box you want her to use is movable, perhaps you can put it in the mud room, let her lay there a couple of times, then move the nesting box to where you want her to lay and block off the mud room. Just a thought
Duh!, You think of everything lol
I'll do that tonight!
The nest box is freestanding so it's moveable.

Anybody else getting a huge downpour of rain, thunder, and lightning right now??? I know we sure are here in San Antonio!!!
We did this morning. It's leaving now. A Lot of limbs down

Probably will be rehoming Brownie Cupcake and Princess.
Awww, why? They aren't your only 3 right? Is it the HOA?

We good a nice light soaking yesterday. Didn't have to water the garden. The 2 white leghorns and 2 of the wyndotte played in the rai under the tree...silly chickens
Checked the radar at noon today and saw what was coming so dropped the plastic on the chicken house rounded everybody up. Got some wind and rain but not that bad after all. Happy for that, I didn't need my garden beat down again.

Spoke too soon...thought is was over but it's pouring again.  Hard rain this time.  Oh well...life in Texas.  Will check for damage after it passes.  Should have left the coop closed.

Probably went through SA to you because we had some VERY heavy rains up until about 1 hour ago. It even knocked our power out for about 2 hours and we just got it back

My husband shared this on facebook so of course, I had to share here...lol

I am Fluffy Scrambledore.

Has eased up...just sprinkling now. Hope it is done for awhile now. Didn't really loose power just took a bump enough to shut the computers down and make all the clocks blink. Hurricane Ike was a blessing to us. Sheco had to replace alot of old equipment so we don't have the power outages like before.
