Chicken Math strikes again!!

woops, i see i need to craft my words more carefully.lol. since my last post yesterday about finding homes for the extras, my grand plan has changed. i am currently changing to free range idea if i can convince hubby to change beautiful coop that hasn't seen one chicken yet, knock out one wall & double the size. it's his fault. he's the one that doesn't want to get rid of any. he just didn't plan on his scheme morphing into more work for him. ha. i'm trying to break it to him gently. i'm also wondering what my chances are of convincing my two german shepherds to leave them alone.

Hi just saw your post and i am in north east tx..i have around 10 ee pullets that are 15 weeks old and 6 that are 8 weeks old..i also have about 100 rir pullets 8 weeks and 100 barred rock pullets 8 weeks...if you havent already picked some up send me a messege on here .. btw my flock is pt free and registered with the state of tx..

Also a big welcome to BYC KellerTX, Henry, and Lisa! I am in Alba, and STILL working on a coop..........Before the chicks this time!!!

Thanks for the welcome. I currently have three that have yet to lay and have already drawn several different maps of my backyard trying to figure out where to put a larger coop and run for when I have six, the maximum allowed by the city of tyler. Is that chicken math? lol
