Texas

Yes. No damage here at my place. About 3 miles by the way a crow flies, had a small twister touch down. But that's as close as it got. Not much hail fell, thankfully.

Weirdest weather I have any recollection of. And, West Texas has a history of weird weather. First it is cold then hot all in what is supposed to be Winter. Now it goes from the 80's to hoping for a high in the mid-50's today with COLD winds from the North that make it hard to even open a door to go outside. The weather folks are predicting snow for the panhandle areas and west of us. We are supposed to get some much needed rain. Then, the weekend and next week back in the 80's again.

Yes, the weather is about the same here, except without snow. Highs up near 80, lows down to 50 or so, this weekend. Still wet from last activity. Going to be beautiful during the day though. I am going to be out in the dirt all weekend. Making rounds now for animals, then on to gardening. Trying to get it in over the next week. Then on to flower beds. I just love spring. Bet the dogs are enjoying the spring weather.

Glad to hear. I hope folks were safe at the touch down.

Not a bad idea but gotta be careful with the corn as you can wind up with chickens that are too fat if they are penned and getting a lot of corn. I tend to freeze things like melons and other items for the birds more frequently than canned corn.

Like jtn42248, during the summer I freeze water bottles to throw in with the birds to help cool things off. However once they have become acclimated to summer temps each year, I only do this when the temp is greater than 100*, as I prefer my birds to be able to do well in temperature extremes with minimal fuss and need for electricity/freezer, since electricity during the summer can be disrupted by a storm or by a brown-out when the state electrical grid gets overwhelmed. Which could be a real possibility again this summer with the current weather pattern we've got going that made winter warmer than usual and they're talking 90* for the DFW area next week already..
