Okay does anyone have Speckled Sussex and/or heritage Buff, Barred, White, Columbian, Blue, Black Plymouth Rock Hatching Eggs? If yes, can you PM me pics and prices I am most interested in Buff Plymouth Rocks and Speckled Sussex. Please no hatchery birds, while there is nothing "wrong" with them I would really like heritage breeds that have more of a chance to go broody. Thanks!!! I am located in South Austin and would prefer to meet somewhere rather than shipping. But would take shipping for the right bird LOL!!!

I may have a Buff Silkie roo to give away soon and prefer not to ship him. I will post back if I decide to give him away. He's young, 2ish months, but I ended up with one more roo than I needed/wanted.

Anyone have hatchery stock (I know its sub-par of breederstock) sumatra or yokohama? I just wanted to know if you are/were satisfied with the birds you aquired or if ya wished you got breeder stock?

TexasChick, I would love to take him if you decide to get rid of your buff silkie roo. I am wanting to get some silkies but didn't want to buy them from a hatchery. I am going to try to find someone local that I can pick them up or meet halfway. I live in Kountze so I am not too far from you. I am thinking about trying to get like 10/11 females and 1 roo. I would like to get them when they are young. He is the right age for me. Please let me know.

Okay my picture didn't come through the other day and I haven't been online to see that. The momma hen is a white sultan and that picture posted but the second post is the one I have the question about.

This is the photo that I was trying to ask for help on. Does anyone know what kind of chicken this is? This is one of the two identical ones that are my neighbors. They free range on my property every day, she is on his property in this photo. I called them leghorns but don't think they are really those. He has two. They are white but I noticed some dark grey feathers on her back. She might be a mix, too. Her legs are dark grey and eyes are red.

I checked the baby chicks all but two have 5 toes. So two of the chicks are this hens or the other identical hen.
