Texas

Finished mowing yard yesterday.. now to get pasture shredded. Partner says sometime this week.
6 weeks after his fall he's starting to use right arm.
Now to weed eat, got a few cherry tomatoes turning red.
We got roof off pumphouse and supposedly-gonna have new pump today.
Amazing cool this morning, yesterday a.m. it was 75 today, 61
Looks at coop, adds repair to list (again)

Cool here too! 64°F. Hope my quail chicks made it through this cool night. They hatch (6 chicks) out on Saturday, I think? Not sure. The first nest got destroyed by a snake...I didn't even see this nest, so I had no idea they were hatched.
Here's a couple of pics with dad, don't know where mom is either...really thick brush in my pens. The male Bob, attacked me when i was taking pics of them! :lau when it gets daylight, I'll go check on them. Might have to enlarge to see the chicks and the male Bob.

Sorry-i wake up 2 or so every morning. By 3 I am outside with coffee enjoying the peace and quiet.
Save the old stuff!
OK we do. We recycle/reuse all we can.

As a chicken keeper with little to no experience... I am new to this idea of 6+ hours of uninterrupted hours of sleep and waking up after 7AM. So going back to 3 AM postings... I think I will get used to all this uninterrupted sleeping time by Dec 21. Going back to bed and waiting for the alarm to go off again in 4 hours what an odd thought.

No dog induced coyote alarms tonight. I think it is just a natural circadian rhythm adjustment for a chicken keeper this time of the year.
