Texas

Just a little update on my quail. Dad and chicks doing fine but with this cold front pushing through, I'm torn between taking them away and raising them or to just let nature take it's course. Here's a couple of vid's....Dad gets mad if I try to video them! :lau Pardon the shakiness, I'm an amateur videographer!

I remember being a sub teen riding in the back of a pickup with oil money kids just shooting those off the phone lines. Glad we are in a different place now to have you rearing these now. @007Sean
Don't believe I ever saw a quail on a powerline before....has the front reach you yet? @AllenK RGV

Nope not yet, it is still quite humid outside. But at 10AM it should be hotter. Back in rural Collin county they were everywhere(Bobwhites), almost like lightning bugs. It is funny my 80+ year old dad wants me to send him my lightning bugs. First they are Texans and he lives in Idaho. I had to refuse besides I am to old to chase those things now.

80.4 F
Feels Like 85.4

Yep, Collin county had alot of quail, I use to go hunting all along the East Fork of the Trinity River, it was our property line on part of our farm. I got into a covey on the other side of the river one day, the owner wasn't happy about me shooting his quail! I hid in a brush pile when he came running up to catch me! He walked within a few feet of me and never saw me, actually, stopped right next to me, I could have touched his boots if I had wanted too!:lau
It's 64°F here, and wind blowing 25mph with gust up to TS strength, 39mph.
