I put the treatment in the galvanized waterers. Seams what I read before was for ACV. I don't plan on useing ACV.
ACV and galvanized waterers is not a good combination....the acid will eat away at the galvanic coating, releasing it into the water, plus causing the waterer to rust.

If you weren't so far away, I'd have you come weld this back together for me! I've got a gas welder but think I need an arc welder for this job!

Uuuggghhh!

I have a suggestion, Mcgyver style. AKA strong & utilitarian but, not cultured or that “refined.”

Gat a section of angle iron. Minimum 3” x 3” x ~12” long & it must be thick! I’d suggest looking for something like 1/4” thick.

I’ll draw up the idea on notebook paper shorty … snap a picture and upload it as a follow up reply. And to satiate your curiosity for now, I roughly spoken concept.

Have the angle iron in “L” shape to cradle the bent tubular pipe. Cut &/or grind a little from the horizontal section that will allow the vertical side to lay flat against the “bushing” that the wheel’s spindle spins inside.

Bend the wheel *back to correct position-ish… give or take a few degrees.

That way you can grind the paint off and make sure the spindle is removed from the inside of this bushing(reduce the chance it could get seized in there from the current.

The notebook paper has a dried tinting from my morning drink (turmeric powder) that spilled on it in my “bag of holding” on the way to the Dallas VA one morning…

Yeah I don't ever plan on useing AVC. So that wont happen. Was just wondering about the Corrid treatment.
Yeah, ACV is pretty much useless, except for a salad dressing! 🤣 I don't think the Corid will do anything to the galvanize....should be safe to use.

Welding coupons together …
Then welding the batches of coupons together even more…
Then experimenting with scraps from others scraps from practicing welds….

Next thing you know I’m writing haiku about it and sharing pictures of the welding in the haiku thread…. Here’s a teaser for ya….

(In background is how thick I can use the mig to weld effectively together, in front is the tiny scraps I found that I delicately welded to not “totally melt” in the process.

Just asking, but would anyone in the area be looking for an LGD? Fergus is amazing with the birds, and I don't have any issues with him. I do have issues with the roommates and him. They are unable to grasp that he is an outside, working dog, and I'm sick of him being bored to death locked in the backyard or in the mudroom. I'd like to find him a home where he can do what he wants to do.

The only other option is for me to put him in with the birds or moving birds to give him a 10 x 20 dog kennel during the day and then allow him to roam at night. This won't happen because every time I go to bed with him out to keep critters away, I wake up to him locked in the mudroom.

Frankly, I'm sick of arguing about it with them.
