Mine are all heritage .. the eggs will hatch mixed breed colours since I have all of them in together right now..

If you have an incubator I can send you some eggs in a few weeks... I sent Melissa Rose some last year and she had a pretty good hatch
I wish I had an incubator! If I did I would be getting eggs left and right from people xD easier to ship eggs than baby chicks.

Nope.. you don't NEED a pond
I give mine a kiddie pool during the summer.. two if I have a lot of waterfowl.. they do muddy it up.. so it has to be cleaned pretty often.. but they enjoy it.

My muscovys can't roost in trees because I pinion their wings (required by law unless they are banded with a solid band or tattooed)
But my muscovys aren't as fond of the water anyway as the other ducks and geese that we have

during the winter I just give mine pans of water.. big enough to bathe in.. but won't make as much of a muddy mess when I dump them and clean them out
no, prolly wouldnt want alot...but thats what i needed to see! thanks! ducks and turkeys are the next 2 on the checklist

I personally want to get two or three muscovys for the eggs. never had duck eggs before but I heard they are good. That and I can try and make some art out of the egg shells.

My hubby put his foot down about ducks and geese. He doesn't do it very often - he hates to tell me no. But, apparently he hates the idea of ducks and geese more than he does telling me no.

lol, well, I did hear that ducks are quite messy, truth be told. So I am still a little hesitant about getting some. I really love the look of scovys, but I think I might wait till I have more room for them.

I just realized - I've spent absolutely the entire day on BYC and totally ignored work.

I mean - totally ignored work. Um....ooopsy?

But, hey - I made a new welcome image!
