the drakes have a harder time taking off once they get their adult weight.. the girls don't have that issue.. course since we pinion no one is flying anywhere!

Mine are all heritage .. the eggs will hatch mixed breed colours since I have all of them in together right now..
If you have an incubator I can send you some eggs in a few weeks... I sent Melissa Rose some last year and she had a pretty good hatch
I wish I had an incubator! If I did I would be getting eggs left and right from people xD easier to ship eggs than baby chicks.Mine are all heritage .. the eggs will hatch mixed breed colours since I have all of them in together right now..

no, prolly wouldnt want alot...but thats what i needed to see! thanks! ducks and turkeys are the next 2 on the checklistNope.. you don't NEED a pond
I give mine a kiddie pool during the summer.. two if I have a lot of waterfowl.. they do muddy it up.. so it has to be cleaned pretty often.. but they enjoy it.
My muscovys can't roost in trees because I pinion their wings (required by law unless they are banded with a solid band or tattooed)
But my muscovys aren't as fond of the water anyway as the other ducks and geese that we have
during the winter I just give mine pans of water.. big enough to bathe in.. but won't make as much of a muddy mess when I dump them and clean them out
