.. but I wanted some ewes too...
Where are you at? I've got one baby ewe right and 3 expecting mothers which should domino any day. I'll sell you a couple if you want them and if I don't have them my grandmother is in buda and I think she gets 65 a piece for the young ones, but mine won't be ready for a couple of months

6 reds and 6 Americanas, hopefully all hens since I purchased pullets! I grew up in Conroe, soI am familiar with your neck of the woods.

My EEs all turned out to be females...actually, out of 12 birds from the hatchery, only one turned out to be a cockerel...that's pretty good odds.

Congrats, where did you get them from? Yup lived in conroe for a few years...just moved up north a little bit and couldnt be happier! ill take 12+ acres and freedom over an apartment and a short drive any day!

One other good thing about them is when the ram gets older and it is time for new blood if he has big wide horns they are worth quite a bit of money, the best I've done so far was 400 for my last old ram and his replacement was only 85 dollars. The new ram is young but just make sure when you buy one they have the genetics for big curls. The one I have right now is 1 1/2 years old and already has a curl and a half. If anybody wants good stock and is close to Seguin just talk to Beno at Seguin Cattle Co. Which is the local auction here and tell him what you want and he will purchase it for you and all you have to do is come and pick them up. It's what i do since I can't get off work to go sit at the auction.

can anyone explain field-fencing to me? is that your typical weld wire and T-post style fence? or is it something a little more substantial?

again, converted city boy...im trying

Speaking of sheep and goats, anyone know how good Painted Desert sheep are about grazing or browsing? I was wanting a painted desert ram if I could get my hands on one. Wouldn't mind a pair either. I love the horns <3
