This would be the route I would have to take to get to San Antonio. That's almost 8 hours worth of just driving. But I would do it, just gotta convince the dh to do it.

Edited to add: Btw, that's including the time coming home. But let's see, two grown hens and four cute little chicks that would never be on the chopping block because they are banties. That's worth it to me.

It's a 450 mile round trip... Eeek! The gas alone would make each bird worth 22.50. Lol I don't think I can go to San Antonio, there is no way he would agree to it. Yuck.

Our mail lady made a special trip to get our chicks to us this morning. Our mail comes about 3:00 but she came by at 8:00 this morning. I gave her a dozen eggs and her eyes bugged out. Some adults have never seen blue and dark brown eggs before. I love it when they see them for the first time.

I love little chickies like that, so cute and fluffy. I still haven't seen my first blue egg. Can't wait to though, three or so more months until I do! (hopefully)
