I'm trying to do my part with three kids who I hope are sensible.PS all you girls that say you never want kids, YOU are the ones that should be having them, raise them to be respectful people. You at least have the common sense to know you would not make a good parent, which is what would make you a GREAT parent LOL! Yes, totally backwards. However, I would love my kids to be raised around yours, if you would have them.
I just want my kids to be raised with normal people not those that freak out if we have chickens, wow what the world has come to. My sister has paid about $800 for a Guinea pig because her daughter keeps dropping it and they can't let it die. If it can't walk and eat on it's one, do the right thing and put it down, but they don't want their daughter to have to have a pet die. Please sensible people have to have kids to balance this out!!!!

I went to see it at a little indoor theater when it first came out.. right after that scene where it pops out of the guys chest and skitters across the floor the power in the theater went out ... and someone dumped a big ol bowl of spaghetti over the edge of the balcony onto the people below..
needless to say.. chaos ensued...
it was great..
the theater offered a refund of the ticket price or tickets for the next showing.. we opted for the tickets for the next showing cause we wanted to see how it ended!
Not native for us in Ennis as we can't keep any birds alive down on our farm on their own. To many hawksit's because Bobs are "native game birds"
Coturnix are imported..
Just wondering why you lock them in? I read other people doing that also, I guess for predators? I come out pretty early sometimes and they are running around eating and drinking. My roos are crowing at 4:30 AM. I would try to give them access to food and water 24/7 but it seems like food and water in the coop would be a mess. All of my coops and runs are like one space each that is their coop and run.
Quote: lol.. native to the United States then..
you can get permits to reintroduce them to your area (yeah I know.. in your case they would be snack food for the predators).....
I'm not sure how many hoops you have to jump through.. but most of the people I know of that have them don't bother with the permits (Disclaimer: I'm not suggesting that anyone should have them without proper permits and paperwork.... just saying what they try to get away with)...
knowing my luck, if I had Bobs.. they would fly out of their coops and right into the path of a game warden.. who would then ask me for all the proper paperwork and hit me with hefty fines... which is why I don't bother with Bobs!
I even pinion the wings on my Muscovys just to cover my behind with the federal regs...
Yeah I don't want to mess with game wardens. We really just want them for training our dogs and hunting. Plus we like them for meat too. Just paying $6 a bird is getting way to high for our pocket booklol.. native to the United States then..
