Texas

I live Dickinson Texas and looking for another rooster for my flock. I really want a Maran. Black and Cooper would be great. Any help would be appreciated. I'm thinking early spring probably the best time to acquire him. I'm not sure what age but 3 month old would be great. If you know of anyone please let me know. Thanks:jumpy Black-Copper-Marans-Rooster.jpg

I keep trying to register, however it just keeps telling me that the link on their site could not be found. I think they are having technical issues now.
Darn, I wish I had acted faster, and I could have gone to the Wharton class!! Wharton is so close to me!!
I am just a backyard chicken owner, and I have no special training as far as animal husbandry is concerned.
Do I need any special training before attending?
I am no science major, and not a vet tech.
I wonder if you can call JC Essler and ask if there is one extra spot open for tomorrows class??

I wanted to let you now there are no more available classes this year and he mentioned that he only plans to hold 7 next year and 5 each year after that.
No for sure cities/towns on where future classes will be held either.

Have Orpingtons, Americaunas, Delawares, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Reds...any suggestions that would blend into this friendly bunch? Have you tried Wyandottes?
I have Gold Laced ones from Ideal.
I like them.
I have Dominiques from them too.

Oh, I had not thought of Dominiques and just might have to add that breed to my list. Here is the BIG problem...I fall in love with every picture posted on this site. Collecting chicks just may be addictive!

Just make sure you have a large enough coop and you should be fine.
(big enough to integrate slowly)
