Texas

I have 6 oleander that were dead(I thought). Bought 4 to replace (all they hadl
I pulled 3 out.
I'm sorry about your oleander, but I have a serious hate for those plants. I made Mom pull all hers out. They're poisonous to anything that might eat them. I had horses (at the time) that would roam her yard, so , no oleanders. I still can't get myself to get them, even if the animals can't reach them. I'll stick to non poisonous and non-invasive flowering plants
Fascinating to note. Gorilla glue that “foams up” and expands over 4X the volume.
Oooh! I need to get some of this. My dad made a small mistake in screwing in my TP holder in the drywall and it's contstantly falling out. I've tried regular super and gorilla glue, but, they just don't quite work. This might be the ticket, if I can get it in the screw hole.
Hello peeps , Im located in Brazoria Texas , planning on growing chickens , right now researching best kind and building chicken coop and run , would like to know of any breeders near me , also feed supplier , thanks in advance .
Can't help you on a feed supplier - I do fermented feed with a grain mixture. Had a great feed store in Tomball, when I lived down there, but had to search a bit when I moved up to the Punkin area (between New Waverly & Coldspring). Mostly, I have trouble getting barley. And BOSS - but that one has a better excuse for selling out.
I cannot decide-boy or girl. Only rir I have so nothing to compare to. She is standing "up" because they heard a strange sound, all of them were in this posture
Rir
Hatched first of March, so 12 weeks or so
Little comb
I want to weigh in on Rooster. Not just for the comb, because RIR's all have good sized combs, but because that tail feather looks long and curved. That's more a rooster trait than a hen trait.

OH, and I missed the quote from the lady who was looking for a Plymoth Rock Rooster. I have one, 2 years old (Beetlegeuse). He's a mix, because I only had 3 roosters at the time (New Hampshire, White Ameracauna and Black Cochin, so I believe his dad is the NH). He's a great rooster. In fact, 4 of 5 of the last group of incubated cockerals that I kept turned out great. These guys will always pair up with any group of hens that go out into either of the pastures. When anything threatens, they herd the girls back in - will even run back out to chase in a wayward hen, too! It's awesome. Especially after the last group of 5 that I had from the same hatch. Those guys were all aggressive, rapist A-holes. (and they all got themselves processed, too!) Good roosters are really cool. As a contrast, I have 4 Toms, and all they do is strut around in a group. No protective instincts AT ALL. Useless. Guess it's going to be a really good Thanksgiving this year.

Dang it! I really wanted to keep up with this thread, but at some point, I stopped getting notices on it. Got 20 pages to read to catch up. Hope everyone weathered this last run of near flooding rains we just got.
I stopped getting notices a couple of times. Now once a week I "unwatch" wait til it saves changes then "watch".
It seems to be working.

I was wondering if you fell off the face of the earth. Glad to know your around! Stay dry and safe

We are as wet as all get out. Overall, 11+ inches of rain over the last 2 weeks. The coop smells nasty. I figure mostly because of the mud. SO happy for the last couple of days of no rain. Either tomorrow or Saturday will get a TSC run for a couple of bales of shavings, so the chooks have something to poop in that will absorb and decompose better. Also, after 2 weeks of heavy rain, I really need to get the horse stalls cleaned out. The chooks decimated my fledgling compost pile, so I really need to add to it more often. I want them to turn it over, not eliminate it!

Still stormy.
Wind and lightning.
A believe or not!
In earlier storm, tomatoes blown over, I'm closing windows, utility room on north side, I'm too late, water everywhere. Cleaning up water and I hear what sounds like a motorcycle in the wall. Only thing on that wall is washer/dryer.
After a couple minutes of noise, the dryer door pops open, and we get wind in utility room. I put a chair against dryer door to keep it closed.
I guess the wind was coming in dryer vent and turning a fan in dryer??? To make the noise?
This storm was/is unreal!
Don't mess with mother nature

We are in same boat! I am close enough to you that we are getting the same rains/storms.
Coop full of muck and smells, I "was" gonna clean it tomorrow/today/Saturday but now have to do yard clean up (again). We have some branches down.
Our road is currently closed, it's flooded at a bridge, so no way in or out for now.
Oh well, this to shall pass.
Beautiful electrical storm out there, I sat on porch watching the show drinking coffee. Yep I'm up for the nite.
