That front blew thru and the 2nd wave ~2-3AM hammered us with extremely close lightning and lost power at least once for those books.... got about an inch last night iirc. Got over 3” from the previous several days.

I'm sorry about your oleander, but I have a serious hate for those plants. I made Mom pull all hers out. They're poisonous to anything that might eat them. I had horses (at the time) that would roam her yard, so , no oleanders. I still can't get myself to get them, even if the animals can't reach them. I'll stick to non poisonous and non-invasive flowering plantsI have 6 oleander that were dead(I thought). Bought 4 to replace (all they hadl
I pulled 3 out.
Oooh! I need to get some of this. My dad made a small mistake in screwing in my TP holder in the drywall and it's contstantly falling out. I've tried regular super and gorilla glue, but, they just don't quite work. This might be the ticket, if I can get it in the screw hole.Fascinating to note. Gorilla glue that “foams up” and expands over 4X the volume.
Can't help you on a feed supplier - I do fermented feed with a grain mixture. Had a great feed store in Tomball, when I lived down there, but had to search a bit when I moved up to the Punkin area (between New Waverly & Coldspring). Mostly, I have trouble getting barley. And BOSS - but that one has a better excuse for selling out.Hello peeps , Im located in Brazoria Texas , planning on growing chickens , right now researching best kind and building chicken coop and run , would like to know of any breeders near me , also feed supplier , thanks in advance .
I want to weigh in on Rooster. Not just for the comb, because RIR's all have good sized combs, but because that tail feather looks long and curved. That's more a rooster trait than a hen trait.I cannot decide-boy or girl. Only rir I have so nothing to compare to. She is standing "up" because they heard a strange sound, all of them were in this posture
Rir
Hatched first of March, so 12 weeks or so
Little comb
I stopped getting notices a couple of times. Now once a week I "unwatch" wait til it saves changes then "watch".Dang it! I really wanted to keep up with this thread, but at some point, I stopped getting notices on it. Got 20 pages to read to catch up. Hope everyone weathered this last run of near flooding rains we just got.
I was wondering if you fell off the face of the earth. Glad to know your around! Stay dry and safeDang it! We are in same boat! I am close enough to you that we are getting the same rains/storms.We are as wet as all get out. Overall, 11+ inches of rain over the last 2 weeks. The coop smells nasty. I figure mostly because of the mud. SO happy for the last couple of days of no rain. Either tomorrow or Saturday will get a TSC run for a couple of bales of shavings, so the chooks have something to poop in that will absorb and decompose better. Also, after 2 weeks of heavy rain, I really need to get the horse stalls cleaned out. The chooks decimated my fledgling compost pile, so I really need to add to it more often. I want them to turn it over, not eliminate it!
