Got another bullsnake, today. Was half way through swallowing 1 of my 'last of the season' quail. The quail are fully grown, I just moved them to an outdoor aviary, yesterday!

Time to get a roadrunner. Course they will eat the lizards too.

We've had terrible problems with snakes up here this summer, they are in no short supply, smdh

I do have a resident road runner on my place....the lizards are pretty thick here too!
I doubt a 5' bullsnake would be taken by a road runner, though.

This is the 6th one this year....that has gotten into my pens and killed my quail, and inturn, they couldn't get back out because of the meal they just consumed....I'm sure they came into the pen to get to mice and found the quail instead....2 of the snakes were rattlesnakes.

Luckily, I haven't lost any chickens to them...3 big ol bull snakes, 1 weird looking black snake, and 1 small rattle snake, found 3 tiny babies under our trash bin but they were snack size, lol.

I had a boa for a long time, it's not that I don't like snakes, I just don't like the ones trying to eat my ladies, lol

I just remove them, I'm too emotional about the legless little pests

Didn't know we were getting rain today? Just had several rain squalls come up out of the South.
