Also my broody Star, just took to the 3 week old chicks I had in the house like emeditly. Took them out to the pen in a box and just set the box down. When they stared making noise she would go around the box looking for them. I set a few out she came and to check them out no agression at all. She then jumped in the box and talked to them. Now she has 33 chicks all the same age as the ones I put out with them where the ones I hatched at the same time she hatched hers.

You will need to place the washers and screws about 6" apart. I don't know if your just spacing them that far apart to just 'tack' it on until you go back and finish it.

I do and I'm sure many others do. My egg sales pay for all my chickens stuff, feed, pine shavings, grit, oyster shell, incubator, ect. I've done it by word of mouth, co-workers, neighbors, and folks who have stopped by and asked.

You will need to place the washers and screws about 6" apart. I don't know if your just spacing them that far apart to just 'tack' it on until you go back and finish it.

Its for tacking. Yard work over took work on the brooder.

Had a scare yesterday. Fed and watered flock, somehow,1 got loose in yard. So I just opened gate and let em go for the day.
dusk, they went in coop. I'm short 4 .
The 2 feral (game) mama's and their 2 babies. Okkkkkk. They've survived free for years, they'll be back in a.m.
This morning, kept looking around run, yard-no mama's.
Went to feed/water. Sat in coop a few minutes watching my 5 newbies. I see movement in pasture. There my missing 4. I herded flock into coop, closed tunnel, opened run, threw out scratch. 2 minutes later all 4 in run. woo hoo!

I'm confused is that saying you don't need a license? I thought I read you do need one to sell eggs but I must of miss read.

Hey, NagemTX how do you like your EGO string trimmer? Just finished about 20 minutes of pasture grass weed wacking with mine. Works great, but tough to get the battery off sometimes.

That's what I use. I love mine, but you are right, it is hard to get the battery off. We have an Ego chainsaw and blower too. Love all! Thinking of getting the pole saw.

I didn't know that you bred buttercup. Do you have a picture of two (or more) They have the most fantastic combs!

How do your buttercups handle the texas heat and winters?

They handle the heat great, and the cold just fine.
