Too late! I put Vaseline on all of them last night.I think I used a dremel tool to cut hole in plastic jar...thin fluted cutter bit.
No vaseline here......before or especially after....hands off, it'll heal on it's own.

I don't think you can get it off with out washing her, sorry.Too late! I put Vaseline on all of them last night.
What about the poop? How can I get them clean without water? I have too much going on with other critters to bring them in to wash them.
My little dog may lose his eye be cause of a scratch on the eyeball. Or a peck on the eyeball! We don't know what happened to him.
Well, the problem is, it's not just one. There are three or four with dirty booties!I don't think you can get it off with out washing her, sorry.
Then we gotta figure out what is causing it.Well, the problem is, it's not just one. There are three or four with dirty booties!
Her eyes are always closed?Update on my injured Bertha Butt;
She is eating and drinking really well. I put her in the bigger cage yesterday so she could move around more. She didn't move all night or today, so I put her back in the smaller one. Betty needs the extra room because she does like to walk around while she fusses.
Someone ask to see Bertha's eyes. Here are pictures of her wounds and her eyes.
I've been back and forth to the vet with him since Dec. 20th. He he'd surgery on it where they put a button on to make a flap or something? Anyways, $750 later, he still can't see out of that eye. It is matting up every night. I have to soak it with a warm wash cloth before he can even open it. And now with Bertha getting Meds from the vet, we're in this past month about $850-$900 ! Can't take much more of this! But Roscoe is my baby, #1! So, I don't know what' going to happen? See, that button on the side of his eye?I would reach and pull any dried poop off, and trim any poopy feathers. I don’t bathe chickens, especially in cold weather. There is no danger of fly strike in winter and as long as she can poop, she will be alright.
I would really check that dog’s eye well for any punctures into the eyeball, and even use a magnifier. We had a terrior with a furry face like that and her eye ruptured after a bite from our other dog. It sealed itself off, and fur stuck to it. When we returned a couple of day’s later we found it right away although our daughter hadn’t noticed it.
