That possum clawed one of my old girls! Help⁉️

I would reach and pull any dried poop off, and trim any poopy feathers. I don’t bathe chickens, especially in cold weather. There is no danger of fly strike in winter and as long as she can poop, she will be alright.

I would really check that dog’s eye well for any punctures into the eyeball, and even use a magnifier. We had a terrior with a furry face like that and her eye ruptured after a bite from our other dog. It sealed itself off, and fur stuck to it. When we returned a couple of day’s later we found it right away although our daughter hadn’t noticed it.
Looks like the dog’s eye has been taken cared for by a vet. See the button method?
It’s a white button. A little hard to see. They sew the eyelid partially shut with a button while you use terramycin for a week or so to heal the corneal wound. It keeps the dog from rubbing the sore eye til it’s raw on the floor and the furniture etc.
cone of shame is the second line of defense.

I've been back and f

I've been back and forth to the vet with him since Dec. 20th. He he'd surgery on it where they put a button on to make a flap or something? Anyways, $750 later, he still can't see out of that eye. It is matting up every night. I have to soak it with a warm wash cloth before he can even open it. And now with Bertha getting Meds from the vet, we're in this past month about $850-$900 ! Can't take much more of this! But Roscoe is my baby, #1! So, I don't know what' going to happen? See, that button on the side of his eye?
Did they tell you to flush it with saline?

I‘m glad you had it taken care of. I never get out of the vet’s office for less that $300-400 anymore for just one animal. But we love them when we need them, and they have saved a few of our dogs over the years.
Oh, I wouldn't take anything for my vet. I have a vet team!
If my main one is not available , there is always the other two that are there and seem to know what's going on.

I do have baby wipes. I will try that tomorrow. Just tell me what to read or where to look for info on how to worm a chicken. What am I looking for to find lice? And what do I treat it with?
It's better if you collect some fresh poop and have your vet test it for worm loads first.
Worming Chickens—Medicines and Dosing Information

Lice....look for bugs crawling on them.
To treat lice:
Permethrin spray or dust.
Not DE dust, permethrin.
