The “Wendy” - new breed! ;)

So, I hatched this beautiful bird and have decided I need to create a new chicken breed in her honor, the “Wendy”

LOL!

In all seriousnesd, she really is a gorgeous bird. The hen was a Rhode Island Red and the rooster is a Lavender Orpington.

These pictures really don’t do her justice. Her emerald green feathers sparkle in the sun!

I have some more that just hatched. Can’t wait to see if they turn out this gorgeous.

She is the size and shape of my Orpingtons. My new batch of chicks are just a week old so we will just have to wait and see if any look like her

Black - she is the only one that hatched but I just hatched another set and have 5-6 black chicks - we will see if they turn out like her.
