10. Byc, and every single person on it

1- I’m thankful for the many people in the world who have worked very hard to make schools, churches, stores, restaurants and all of the other necessary places, available to us even if that does mean being there through our screens, or having the things delivered by someone else.

2- I’m thankful for anyone who has donated money or supplies for vaccine research, and the many people who put those resources to work. I can’t express how grateful I am for the time spent on making it happen, and the people who did it

3- I’m very thankful that I get to be part of such an amazing BYC community! Without it , I don’t know what I would do. My birds have benefited so much from what I have learned.

4- I’m thankful for the vet who helped me save the life of Joy. She means so much to me, loosing her would have been to hard. She helped me have hope and supported both of us the whole time. She has saved the life of not only Joy, but so many other animals which no other vets in our area could help.

5- I’m thankful for my friends and family who have supported me through everything. I love every one of them, no matter how many miles there are between us.

6- I’m thankful for every member of my flock. Each of them have touched me in a different way, and each of them means so much to me.

7- I’m thankful for teachers, and all the people in my MS/HS who have risked their health to make sure as students, we can receive a good in-person education for as long as we can. I’m especially thankful and pleased to say, that everyone there has done a wonderful job at staying safe and socially distanced. Because of this, we have only had 2 confirmed cases in what has been almost 6 months!

8- I’m thankful for the safety of my family this spring, when two different tornadoes hit near two different sets of cousins. One happened to be in Nashville, two days before I went to visit my cousins and their kids. My family and their home was safe, but many people they knew lost so much. The other happend in Chattanooga, only a few miles from where more of my family lives. They where safe, but know many people who were not. While I am thankful for the safety of my family, I pray that those who lost something or someone during either storms, will find, or have found happiness even through a difficult time.

9- I’m thankful for health of my family and friends, who have all gone through this year With others in mind. I am thankful for everyone who wears a mask, and everyone who wears a smile, even if it can’t be seen.

10- I’m thankful for anyone who has risked their health so we don’t have to. I’m sending a big, virtual and social distanced hug to anyone who has done something for someone else this year! Weather that be delivering groceries, food, medicine, or supplies to anyone is quarantine, or just spending your own free time cooking for those who have nothing to eat, and offering shelter to anyone who needs it. Even just the little things, like calling up an old friend, or helping someone through a rough time. :)

Things I am thankful for:

1. My country, (religious freedom, freedom in general, the brave people who founded it and who gave or are giving their lives to preserve it)

2. My family. (My Dad who works so hard for us, my Mom for dedicating her time to my education, and my siblings who are constantly teaching me patience.)

3. My framily. (Loyal friends/family who make me a better person and give me comfort)

4. My LORD and Savior, Jesus. (Thanks for coming to earth, giving me life and the Bible, and forgiving my sins.)

4. Tech and resources. (Electricity, running water, clothes, shoes, a warm house, hospitals, vaccines, texting, Zoom, and being able to talk to friends through a screen when we can't see each other in person)

5. My wonderful pets. (Most loyal dog ever- TJ, funny chickens, and cuddly bunnies)

6. The Christmas season!!!!

7. My health. (Being able to see beauty, taste good food, feel a soft blanket, hear music, smell flowers, be able to move independently, and having an active mind.)

8. My ability to share God's love

9. Being able to travel with my family (or travel to see my family)

10. The BYC and the wonderful people who are on it! (Yall saved my sanity at the beginning of quarantine)
