I have one chick so far and 4 still under the Rumples. I am hoping that they hatch today!!

Come on, Rumples Easter babies!

So... I went out to check on Rumples. She let me put my hand under her and she didn't growl at me. Well... I could not feel any eggs. Maybe I need to check better, but I thought I felt a damp body with legs! I gotta go out again...

Final tally 35 hatched out of 79 set and 57 viable moved to hatchers. I am not especially pleased but many of the eggs were shipped so not surprised either. Of note, a local breeder's 12 Dominique eggs ALL hatched, and it looks like only 3 are cockerels.

My hatch is done early and I wanted to report my numbers. I got 12 out of the 27 in the hatch along. All 6 of the bantams hatched, but they weren't part of the hatch along. In general certain breeds did much worse than others even though they weren't shipped.

All of the eggs from the hens/rooster I used to own hatched
all of the bantams hatched
4 out of 6 marans eggs hatched even though they had been refrigerated lol
none of the welsummers hatched
only 2 out of 6 Isbar hatched
1 out of 2 easter eggers hatched (even though they had also been refrigerated).

OKAY!!! No eggs left that I know of. I pulled out a yellow/lav ish chick. I am going to get pictures this afternoon. But I might have 5!!
