HELP ME!!! I'm in so much trouble.

I couldn't help myself guys. They were so cute and fluffy and I NEEDED a few splashes of color to my birds.... The 4 small ones are as follows... 1: 1: And 2: The scary thing is my husband just looked at me and walked away. Didn't say anything. Gulp.

Tell me the truth. Am I

SOOOO I have a big ol greyhound dane mix dog who is so amazing with my chickens he truely loves them and even watches over the baby chicks they hop all over him. He just LOST IT looking out into my backyard, I look out to find out what he as freaking out about and I see a Bobcat come out from where my chicken coop is. I DONT DARE TO GO LOOK. Kaysen (the dog) is still barking and hubby is asleep, I may go wake him and make him go look.

I already lost 1 flock I dont know if my heart could take another whole flock gone. I wish my rooster would just crow or something to let me know they are ok...

Next time you see one grab your biggest pot and metal ladle and come out the door screaming and banging the pot. Odds are it will startle the heck out of him and he will run to the woods. Then you need to get yourself a battery and hot wire fence to keep him out.

ALL CHICKENS ALIVE AND ACCOUNTED FOR THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!

After we lost our last flock we tried very hard to make sure NOTHING could get into the coop at night. Apparently we did good. There were scratch and deep claw marks on the outside of the door and under a window, but we had put chicken wire over all of the windows and around the door frame so nothing could dig the door frame open. We also reinforced the door with a lock at the top bottom and a latch in the middle. I think all that work finally paid off.

I had a prayer answered this morning, THAT WAS SO STRESSFUL

Glad to hear it. I almost had a heart attack FOR you.

He knows. He said its your money when I called him and said they had chicks. It's when I came home and he was here for "lunch" and asked how many right off. Then just shook his head and walked away that I figure he was hiding his true feelings. This little girl is LOUD and a big jumper

Count us in then! I teach 4th grade and will be using my eggs from my chickens this year. I have a mix of brama, barred rock and few golden wyndotte. Our rooster is a barred rock though. Will be interesting to see the mixes that come out. Our broody hens have mostly been our barred rocks.
I'll most likely set the 3rd of March.

I seem to have lost a quote. I'm setting White Chantecler over various breeds, FBCM if I can get my hen to lay in her nest, whatever my friend get's from her boyfriend, and, wait for it.... SILKIES!!!! I got my first Silkie egg today!
