4 babies so far. I went ahead and helped the one that was pipped at the wrong end. Decided to after the first one hatched. The wrong end one had been pipped way before the one that hatched. Every thing was absorbed! It's doing pretty good. Lazy from not hatching on its own, but getting up on those wobbly legs every now and again.![]()
Did you build that bator?! Pretty nice!Last month had really good luck incubating Feb 1 (10eggs) Feb 5(5 eggs) Feb 10(5eggs) ended up with 19 out of 20 healthy chicks and 1 that didn't hatch was my fault I dropped egg. I'm waiting on 11 more eggs I started Feb 24 .View attachment 1290328

Yep, what Yorkshire said. Supposed to pip at the fat end, not the skinny end. Here is a photo of one pipped, at the wrong end. Should pip where thre drawn lines are.As a newbie, what's the wrong end?
Yes I made incubator out of old toy wooden oven and I use parts from a hotdog rotisserie to make automatic egg Turner. It works really good very high hatch rate but only holds 14 eggs max.Did you build that bator?! Pretty nice!
